DanceMHT
Level I Hip Hop Class-Thursdays (recommended grades: 3 & 4)
with Emily Suhrheinrich-Weeks

Take your moves to the next level! This high energy class focuses on learning killer hip hop technique and building the strength it takes to execute them! Beginner friendly!
Attire: comfy clothes to move in easily. Shoes- Clean sneakers for studio use only. If you wear them outside, please don’t use them for class as they can bring in dirt and debris that will damage the dance floors.
*DanceMHT has a take a pair/leave a pair shoe exchange shelf for gently used shoes.

Level III Musical Theatre Jazz Class-Thursdays (recommended grades: 6-12)
with Emi Hensel

Jazz for Intermediate dancers-This class is perfect for the actor or actress looking to up their game! Learn musical theatre style jazz with fun choreography while gaining strength and confidence for that next audition! This is a beginner friendly class!
Attire: Form fitting clothing such as a leotard or athletic wear. Black or nude jazz shoes.

Level III Tap Class-Thursdays (recommended grades: 6-12)

Tap for intermediate dancers. This Musical Theatre centered tap class is especially designed for students who want to focus on Broadway style tap. A great class for tappers to take their steps to the next level!
Attire: Form fitting clothing such as leotard or athletic wear. Black or nude tap shoes.

4-6 Year Old Creative Movement Class-Fridays
with Emily Suhrheinrich-Weeks

Tiptoe like a mouse, float like a butterfly, and swing like a monkey! This class is about letting out your wild side and learning to move with the music. Young dancers are encouraged to get creative as we dance along to fun and funky music! Perfect for beginners, boys and girls are going to love it!
Wear comfortable clothing. Ballet shoes or bare feet.

Pre-Pointe Class-Fridays (Recommended Grades: 6-12)
with Emi Hensel

This is an introductory level class for students wishing to go en pointe! Students learn basic elements of preparing to dance on pointe, as we emphasize strength and stability with rigorous barre exercises. Students must complete an evaluation with Mrs. Emi to be admitted into this class.

Level IV Contemporary Class-Fridays (Recommended Grades: 9-12)
with Emi Hensel

Unleash your inner artist and learn the dance style that has taken the globe by storm. Contemporary is a mixture between ballet and modern technique and is a beautiful melting pot of a style. Students are encouraged to be enrolled in at least one ballet class or have previous dance experience.
Attire: Form fitting clothing such as a leotard or athletic wear.
Footwear: Contemporary shoes such as Pirouettes or dance socks.

Baby & Me-Fridays (Ages 2-3 years old)
with Emily Suhrheinrich-Weeks

This 30 minute class is the perfect introduction to the classroom, and the world of movement for your little one! Children ages 2-3* and a caretaker will play movement games, learn dance basics, play with ribbons, parachutes and other props, and climb, roll, and crawl over small obstacle courses. This class helps develop classroom manners, confidence, independence, rhythm, and coordination!
Socks, barefeet, or dance shoes and comfortable clothes are fine.
*Students younger than 2 can enroll with instructor approval. Please call the box office to enroll.
One caretaker is required to stay with the child in class. It can be a parent, grandparent, aunt/uncle, etc.

Intermediate Pointe Class-Fridays (Recommended Grades: 9-12)
with Emi Hensel

Build strength and learn proper technique to bring your ballerina aspirations to life! This is a technique class for intermediate to advanced students en pointe.
Students are required to be enrolled in at least one ballet technique class.
Admission to pointe is at Miss Emi’s discretion. All pointe students must have pre-approval from instructor to register.
