Level I Ballet Class-Thursdays (recommended ages: Grades 3 & 4)

Calendar Jan 12, 2023 at 4 pm, runs for 17 weeks

Students continue to learn foundational ballet instruction and artistry in this class with the use of barre and center floor exercises. Beginner friendly!

**This semester concludes with showcase performances on May 5th & 6th. Tickets will be available for purchase starting March 24th.

Students should wear a leotard and tights or leggings. Form fitted t-shirt or tank top and dance pants or shorts for boys. Pink ballet shoes for girls. Black ballet shoes for boys. 

*DanceMHT has a take a pair/leave a pair shoe exchange shelf for gently used shoes.

DanceMHT Levels: Age is only a starting point. We want to make sure your student is where they need to be! We want every student to feel challenged and confident in his or her class. Dance instructors may suggest a student move to a different level that is right for them. If you are not sure which level your student should be in, you can contact our Dance Program Director, Emi Hensel, and she will be happy to get your student in the class that is right for them.

DanceMHT Discount Policy: Your student's first two classes are full price; all additional classes are only $100 for the semester ($25 monthly).

Don't ever let cost keep you away. MHT offers financial aid including partial scholarships for qualifying families. Call the Box Office for more information at 270.444.6828 and please complete this Financial Aid Form. Once completed, the form can be emailed to info@mhtplay.org or brought to the Box Office at 132 Market House Square. Applications must be received at least two (2) weeks prior to the start of the class. Please do not register for the class if you are applying for a scholarship.

Level I Tap and Jazz Class-Thursdays (recommended ages: Grades 3 & 4)

Calendar Jan 12, 2023 at 5 pm, runs for 17 weeks

Students continue to learn foundational tap and jazz vocabulary and technique. We focus on foot work for tap and strength and stretching for jazz. If your dancer loves to groove to fast music, this is the class for them!

**This semester concludes with showcase performances on May 5th & 6th. Tickets will be available for purchase starting March 24th.

Students should wear a form fitting t-shirt or tank top and leggings or dance shorts. Black tap shoes, black jazz shoes.

Calendar Jan 12, 2023 at 6 pm, runs for 17 weeks

Take your moves to the next level! This high energy class focuses on learning killer hip hop technique and building the strength it takes to execute them! Beginner friendly!

**This semester concludes with showcase performances on May 5th & 6th. Tickets will be available for purchase starting March 24th.

Attire: comfy clothes to move in easily. Shoes- Clean sneakers for studio use only. If you wear them outside, please don’t use them for class as they can bring in dirt and debris that will damage the dance floors.
